Kashiana Singh

Kashiana Singh is the author of four poetry collections and one illustrative poetry book for toddlers. She has been widely published in various international journals including Poets Reading the News, Rattle Poetry, Café Dissensus, Madras Courier, and The Beltway Poetry. Her work has been anthologized in the Yearbook of Indian Poetry in English and other themed anthologies. Kashiana is deeply inspired by Haikai writing and is a volunteer with the vibrant Haikai community – Triveni Haikai led by Kala Ramesh.

Her poems lean into life as a birthing house and navigate themes of resilience, belonging, and transformation. Woman by the Door (2022) was published by Apprentice House Press. Crushed Anthills (2020) by Yavanika Press is a loco-descriptive journey through 10 cities. Shelling Peanuts and Stringing Words (2019) is her debut collection. Witching Hour (2024) with Glass Lyre Press has been called a sacred collection and a luminous meditation of verses. Kashiana loves to talk about Sing with Earth and Me – a collaborative collection with illustrator Japneet Kaur – these micro poems for toddlers bridge the gap between poetry, art, and environmental awareness
