​Debangana Banerjee

Debangana Banerjee was born and raised in Santiniketan, India. She received her MFAs in Printmaking from Visva-Bharati University, India and from Louisiana State University, USA. She was a national scholar in visual arts in India. Her art works have been exhibited in many places including in India, Australia, Japan, England, Canada, and the United States. Two of her artist’s books were published in art fairs in 1998 and 1999 in India.  Her short stories and poems in Bengali and English have appeared in such magazines as Onushtup, Sharad Arghya, Prabash Bandhu, DuKool, and International Poetry Review and Toad Suck Review. Debangana’s bilingual (Bengali and English) poetry chapbook Come Back River (Finishing Line Press) was published in 2014.
